There are indeed free office programs out there that I have, and use, but when you get right down to it, MS Works can do 100% of what I need. And it does it faster. I am now using MS Works for a small business.I, too, am assuming you do mean Microsoft Works. Another option would be to try using WordPad which is included with Windows and is a rudimentary Word Processor. LibreOffice is a good product and should give you at least the functionality you had with Works. It is not Microsoft Office, but it is free..
